CHAR_TAB.CPX - WHAT IS IT?

Character Table is a simple CPX program for the Atari XCONTROL panel
accessory. It shows the current system font and allows any character to be
clicked on and its value displayed.

CHAR_TAB.CPX - USING IT

Insert the CHAR_TAB.CPX file into your normal CPX folder. Either re-boot or
select the XCONTROL panel accessory and select Options/Setup menu item and
click on the right-hand of the two large icons which reloads all the CPX
files. CHAR_TAB.CPX should now be available.

Double-click on any character and the Decimal, Hexadecimal, Octal and Binary
value for that character will be displayed.

CHAR_TAB.CPX - THE FUTURE

CHAR_TAB.CPX is still in development. I want to be able to place the
selected character into the keyboard buffer so that you can insert
that character into your text file in an editor or word processor.
However, I'm having problems with this. Although it works from within
accessories, I can't get it to work from within a CPX.

CHAR_TAB.CPX - THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Thanks to Jon Ellis for his CPX articles in his excellent Programmers'
Forum series in ST Applications magazine.

Thanks to John Eason for pointing me towards some code for the
keyboard buffer routine.

Thanks to Chris Ridd for seeing the buttons problem in v1.1.
