DATE_DAY.CPX - WHAT IS IT?

Week Day of Date is a simple CPX program for the Atari XCONTROL panel
accessory. It shows the week day name, day number and week number of the
year for any date entered by the user.

Note that the CPX uses a simple algorithm (called Zeller's Congruence) which
does not take into account any changes to the calendar over the years, in
particular the change from Julian to Gregorian.

The CPX should be compatible with all TOS versions, MultiTOS, Geneva and
MagiC and all keyboard nationalities.

DATE_DAY.CPX - USING IT

Insert the DATE_DAY.CPX file into your normal CPX folder. Either re-boot or
select the XCONTROL panel accessory and select Options/Setup menu item and
click on the right-hand of the two large icons which reloads all the CPX
files. DATE_DAY.CPX should now be available.

Enter any date in the Date input box in the format ddmmyyyy where dd is the
day, mm is the month and yyyy is the year in full. Then click on the Calc
button or press Return.

The CPX will catch input errors and inform the user with an alert. If you
get an alert you either entered a date that doesn't exist (i.e. 31 11 1995)
or did not include any leading zeros where necessary (i.e. the date 1st of
February 1996 should be entered as 01 02 1996). Years must be entered in
full (i.e. 1996 not 96).

The Info button displays some brief Information about the program. The
Cancel button closes the CPX.
