                                ******************

	You're holding the update dated 98/09/13 of my modules for the
PARX.SYS folder.

I Installation:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
	Copy RI?,WI?,IF? files in the corresponding subfolders in the PARX.SYS
folder used by your M&E programs. These modules take the place of all previous
versions and supress the need of any other module for the format handled (you
can throw away any other module for TGA handling for instance).
	By default only ST-compatible module are active (RIM, WIM, IFX
extensions). Specific versions for 68030 (TT or F30), DSP (F30) or FPU (TT or
F30 with additional FPU) are given for some modules but are disabled (RIZ,
WIZ, IFZ extensions). You'll have to invalidate corresponding ST module and
activate the most adapted ones to your setup. This can be done by hand or you
can use additional tools provided by PARX (EDIT_RWI or FOX).
II Use.
~~~~~~~
	M&E programs will handle everything for you. Meanwhile some modules
needs system RAM to work, it is advisable (if your MEM version is < 5.50) to
not allocate all the RAM for the M&E program. You can substract 50Ko or 100ko
to the maximum available.

	Modules are tuned for the most usual cases. But you can fine-tune
some to your real needs:
- GIF_ANIM.WIM: you can set the delay (in ms) between 2 pictures, choose a
"looping" display, interlace the 1st picture and choose an optionnal
transparent color for Web illustration.
- GIF_EDY.WIM: you can interlace the picture and choose an optionnal
transparent color (by giving its VDI index) for Web illustration.
- IMG_XIMG.RIM: you can choose VDI or Shifter format for palette loading and
the padding mode for True Color pictures if it happens to be loaded wrongly.
- IMG_WIM.WIM: you can force (if need be) a width multiple of 16 pixels for
Calamus.
- TGA_EDY.WIM: you can save True Color 16b pictures:
	+ in TGA format (PC standard, with only 15b used)
	+ in TG1 format (ATARI specific, but with no loss).
  You can also choose the depth of the True Color saving:
	+ "automatique": if depth<24b it saves in 16b else it saves in 24b.
	+ "forc 16b": stick to 16b: allows to save space when saving lots
of pictures if you don't really need 24b.
	+ "forc 24b": stick to 24b: some programs can only load this
format (Calamus, ...)
- JPEG.WIM: you can choose quality (99=no loss, 10=cubist),
additionnal dithering ("flou") (0=no dithering, 99=strong dithering),
and progressive saving or not (progressive jpeg can't be loaded by
JPEG_DSP.RIM and few software can use them but they're smaller and allows
progressive displaying on a Web browser).
- XIMG.WIM: same tunings as IMG_XIMG.RIM.

	Netscape.p08 is a 256 colors palette for D2M or Digital Lab.
It contains colors which are not dithered when using a Web browser in
256c mode (Netscape, Wensuite or Cab ...).

III Copyright & co.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
	All the modules in this pack are registered to your name. They're for
your own use only. Only the contents of the DEMO folder can be freely copied.
Except the use of M&E standard all this stuff has nothing to do with PARX.
	For another update you only need to send me a floppy with a
self addressed stamped envelope for the answer,
	Every suggestion is welcome. My projects for the next months include
other things but improving those module is still possible.
	For an eventual bug-report you'll have to send me a description of
your configuration (Atari type, use of NVDI, Magic, Mint, Geneva...), the
offending files, the name of a program which can handle them and, if possible,
the name of the program which saved them.
IV Common problems and answers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

P1: A module says it hasn't enough RAM: "Pas assez de mmoire".
A1: If you use a memory module (MEM) whose version is < 5.50 go to the
preference form and substract 50Ko to the RAM allocated to this program. If it
does happen again repeat this step (150Ko below the maximum available should
be enough for all cases).

P2: The file DUMMY.XXX isn't recognized by XXX module.
A2: Verify you own the last version of this module. If the file can be loaded
with a non M&E program you can send it to me and I'll see if I can complete
the module.

P3: The file DUMMY.XXX isn't loaded correctly.
A3: Verify you own the last version of this module. Then, try with another M&E
program.
	If it loads OK with the 2nd you can report the problem to both the
author of the 1st programm and me.
	If it fails also, and the file can be loaded with a non M&E program
you can send it to me and I'll see if I can complete the module.

P4: The file DUMMY.XXX saved by XXX.WIM can't be loaded by program Z.
A4: If the module is user-configurable you can try other parameters (different
compression, sub-format, ...). If all fails you can save with another module
in another format.

P5: Module XXX (from by pack) is no more in my PARX.SYS folder.
A5: If you have used the update program from PARX it's normal. It erases
modules it doesn't know and in some cases install previous versions. Only
answer you'll have to re-install the modules of this pack.
Else the truth is outhere.

P6: The clipboard contents is not correct.
A6: Clipboad handling uses XIMG modules for loading/saving. Verify their
settings are compatible. If not change RIM options accordingly and reload
clipboard.
