     STIK2 Beta.

This is a beta. Please do not distribute.

     Contents of this archive.

STIK.PRG (install in Auto Folder after Hsmodem, can be ran
from Desktop under MiNT). If you desire to run it from the Auto folder
it must run before MiNT. Actually with Naes it doesn't matter so much
where it is ran from. After MiNT seems slightly better though. If
you find out differently, please let me know.

     EXAMPLE.CFG

Folder with example configuration and example dial script.
The variables are explained here. I've included a sample
set with minimal configuration. Your mileage with minimal setup
          may vary.

     QDIALER

Folder with dialer, docs and RSC. Can either be ran as
an application or as a desk accessory. If ran as an application
can be anywhere on your system as long as RSC is in same directory.

    STIKVAR.TXT

A file descibing variables used with configuration files.

     New Changes

STiK2 - Some new STinG routines in place for compatibility and a revision of the
          dialer <-> stik2 communications.

Qdialer - For changes here see the documentation for Qdialer.

     Noted Problems:

Dont set both USERNAME and PAP_ID in a dial script. One or the other is fine, but both causes problems.

There is a problem that exists with the dialer under anything but Magic, when you are using Hsmodem. It's actually
a bug in Hsmodem and I can't fix it. I've been working on how to get around it. This is not really a major bug. The
same bug occurs with MiNT Net. When it strikes your modem doesn't dial properly. Fix - reset the modem (Turn it on and
off) or reboot your machine. This seems to have calmed down somewhat and only be an erratic bug anymore.

Cookie problem. Cookie Jar routines for creating a cookie jar are not working. If you are running on a machine
that has no inbuilt cookie jar. You will need to run a program that installs a cookie jar before STiK2. Well on reflection this
really isn't a problem with STiK it's with Hsmodem. Hsmodem does not appear to install a cookie jar if one does not exist and
since it needs to run before STiK, STiK creating a cookie jar does it no good.
