Atari History Site: January 15, 2001 Update

Added to the Atari "Graduate" CX-3000 page in the Atari 2600 area, the full 115 page original PVI, Inc. Design notes (in PDF format) on the design and development of the Atari Graduate add-on computer, the "FRODO" chip, and many other aspects of the never released peripheral.

Added to the Atari 8-bit area of the website, a side bar link to the Atari "ERIC" Demonstrator Field Service Manual.   "ERIC" stood for Electronic Retail Information Center.   It was an interactive Laserdisc demonstration system controlled by an Atari 800 through an Atari 850 Serial interface port to a Pioneer PR-8210 Laserdisc player through its remote input.    For those who came to the Vintage Computer Festival 4.0 in San Jose this past Sept 30-Oct 1 you were able to see and try out first hand one of the only complete and working units left in existence.

Added to the Atari 1450XLD page are original Atari internal Engineering log notes on the design and development of the project.

Added to the Atari XL Series Computer Systems on the sidebar is the original Atari Parallel Bus Specifications notes.

Added to the Atari Archives Section is the new Atari Report & Dealer News Newsletter section.   Currently only the first of several issues has been added, more should be available in the coming days.   These were newsletters sent out to Atari Share Holders and to Atari Authorized Dealers during the "Tramiel" days of Atari.

Additional Update: January 16, 2001

In the new Atari Report & Dealer News Newsletter section, the 2nd Issue of Atari Report has been added and the two issues of Atari Dealer News have been added, Karl Morris indicated that he has several other issues of Atari Dealer news which he will scan and transfer over to the AHS site so that those issues can be included into the archives.   Also added was an issue of MIDI Magazine, a quaterly publication put out by Atari geared towards Atari's niche market in the music industry.

Ok, the scanner needs a rest before it explodes from all this use, so more updates in a few days, take care....
