October 25, 1999 Update:

Well the coin-op section has been continuing to have new images, and flyers added to it, plus a new section has been added to the side bar called Atari Coin Connection Archives which has several issues already in it.   These issues are set-up to be easily viewed on-line and the images have been formatted to print out in 8.5" x 11" format for those wishing to printout all the issues for your personal reading off-line.   About 12-16 more issues will be going into the section, many of which have been loaned to the Atari Historical Society by Brian Wiklem, so thanks Brian for the wonderful assistance as always!!!

The Atari 400/800 section has undergone some major face-lift work.    The Atari Periherals section under the Atari 400/800 section has an all new look to it with a colorful new menu done in the Atari 400/800 rainbow logo which I hope everyone enjoys.   Underneath that menu is even more Atari 400/800 peripherals, plus Atari 3rd party peripherals which at this time is not yet ready so sorry for the 404 errors on that, but that should be resolved shortly.

Well the dual processor HP Netserver arrived yesterday and the OS is being loaded, the RAID drives are being setup and the firewall will be configured soon and the Atari Historical Society will begin to be run in-house soon over a dedicated high-speed link.   There is just too much data to push up over a lousy 56k link and the storage limit is getting rather high and will be increasing with all of the various PDF's which are on there way, so it was time to bring the website in-house, so in about a month or so we will be making the transition and with some help from a very good friend over at Cisco, things should be chugging away quite nicely.   I will keep everyone informed of the transition and there will most likely be a day or two of downtime while the IP address and DNS entries are moved to the Atari Historical Society's new home, will keep everyone up to date.

Speaking of up to date, History in the Making...   well the new graphics are in from the goings back and forth between Karl and myself and all I can say is WOW!!! They are great, just waiting on some approvals for a few things and that new section could be live and kicking this comming Halloween... no that REALLY will be scary :)    Anybody dressing up in there Asteroids or other Atari costume this halloween?   Send some pictures over and we'll will add them onto the site....
