Well to start things off,
the traffic through the site has been monumental to say the least, over
700mb's in bandwidth have been transferred and the hit rate logs are just
immense. One of the main reasons for this is thanks to Mike
Stulir and his Back In Time Internet Radio broadcast. Just
a few days ago he posted his latest radio show starring myself Curt Vendel
and I have to thank Mike very much for the loads of fun doing the interview
which took nearly 4 nights to complete due to some problems with his sound
recording hardware, but Mike's perseverance paid off and he put together
a wonderfully fun show and I felt honored to take part in it.
If you've missed the show, please stop by the Back
in Time site and listen to the broadcast as well as several others
Mike Stulir has done.
Now I've been holding off on this as long as I can while I work on the pages, but the emails are just flooding in with people just going crazy wanting to see all of these talked about Atari laptops, portables and desktop concepts from 1983-1984 before the Tramiels bought Atari, so although not quite complete as of today (only the Atari Desktop Concepts is open), I'm adding a SNEAK PREVIEW link so everyone can have a look. I'm hoping that as time goes by I will add more technical data to the images.
Here's some real interesting additional information on 2 never before heard of or seen consoles called the Atari 2900 Video Game Console and the Atari CX-3000 Super Console. Have a look, they are quite interesting.
Sorry, thats it for right
now, I'm very tied up at this moment with the beginnings of a very big
remote computing contract for a large financial investment firm here in
New York City so time has been short and I've been exhausted.
On the horizon look for lots and lots of more images as well as the completion
of the Atari Concepts section, also we've just received our new HP Photosmart
S20 35mm slide scanner and we have nearly 100 slides to scan in and present
onto the sight so keep looking for updates, thats it for now.
PS: We we're going to do an April fools gag, we recently received
the original artwork for the unreleased Atari Swordquest AIRWORLD cartridge
and we had planned to make a fake cartridge and play a little joke, but
concern arose over people taking it too seriously so the April Fools joke
was pulled. However the artwork as well as the original artwork from
the Coin-op Battlezone, 5200 Asteroids and Tempest will all be on display
in a new section on the website called The Art of Atari. Look
for it soon.
