This weekend was quite
exciting, the Professional Gamers
League (PGL) held their 1999 tournaments at XS
New York located on 42nd Street and Broadway in Times Square,
Manhattan New York City. XS New York is a phenomenal arcade
experience on multiple floors. Nolan Bushnell is Commissioner
of the PGL and was in attendance along with Loni Reeder VP of Creative
Media.
Well as part of the tournament festivities a Pong match with Nolan against "Thresh" Fong was staged. On hand was the Atari Historical Society with an original Atari Pong coin-op that we just recently completed restorations on, serial # ZZ-001. For a warm up, Nolan and I (Curt Vendel) played a couple of games before Nolan and Thresh went head to head, winning score 15-5 Nolan, Thresh may be the king on other video games, but noone beats Nolan at Pong !

Also in attendance was Mike Stulir from Back In Time Classic Gaming Internet Radio. After myself, Nolan, Loni and Mike went out for lunch in between all of the excitment Mike lined up a future interview with Nolan to be announced soon, check on the Back In Time website for more information.
For everyone looking
for new site updates, next weekend I will be adding a lot more, sorry for
the delay but with my weekend spent at the PGL tournament with Nolan and
Loni, the site had to take a weekend off, don't worry, look for new news,
personal Atarian stories, pictures and much more this comming weekend.
Take care and have a great Memorial Day weekend everyone!!!
Curt
