Continuing to publish many of the recovered documents contained within
the Atari History
Archives, the following new files have been added to the site for everyones
use and reference. Perhaps these technical documents will assist
many hardware hackers out their to continue and perhaps expand their efforts
in pushing the Atari 8-bit home computers to new levels of use and functionality.
Atari Speech Hander ERS: A fully detailed document on the Speech Device Handler in the Atari 1400/1450 OS.
Atari Internal Modem Specifications: A detailed document on the internal Parallel Bus modem in the Atari 1400/1450 Home Computers
Atari 1400XL Telecommunicator:
A detailed specification on the Atari 1400XL Telecommunicator cartridge
and how it utilitized both the modem
and voice synthesiser built into the unreleased
Atari 1400XL home computers. The cartridge was intended to
be a pack-in with the computer if it had
been sold publicly.
Atari CGIA Chip: A fully detailed document, 90 pages, of the design and specifications of a combined ANTIC & GTIA chipset.
Atari FGTIA: A fully detailed document,
56 pages, of the design and specifications of the French SECAM GTIA chip.
