October 10, 1999 Update:

This update is actually over-due.     There should have been one or more about two weeks ago.    The site is continuing to be updated and enhanced with new menu's and navigation bars.    Several new additions and updates include:

The Main Menu has continued to be updated and refined, its still not completed and additional sections and links will be added to it in the comming weeks.   Also we are still moving things around and rearranging things, so those who are looking for older features and links, don't worry they'll be back shortly.   Also you may have noticed the new Main Menu graphic, we've received a lot of new paperwork lately and these images are just a few of the great new imagery comming to the site so enjoy!

New Graphic on the Atari Video Games menu.

The Video Wizard is actually taken from a rare Atari 2600 games catalog cover and with a little bit of fun with Photoshop, several additional images were overlayed onto the original image and some changes were made to it and the end result is the new official Atari Video Games menu image.

The Atari Computers section is slowly being updated with the new menu's.   The Atari 400/800 submenu was given a nice new make over and using an old Atari marketing flyer, the HCD rainbow was used as the topbar graphic in that menu which looks really good.     Also in the XL Section a new more high res image of the Brown 600XL and 1400XL prototypes has been updated and is much clearer.   Also the Atari 1600XL section was redone with new high res scans and an additional new image of another proposed case design.

The entire Atari Standalones section has been redone and is complete.   The menu for that section needs a little something so Karl and I will see if we can whip up a new image for that section.

The Atari coin-op section has received a complete face lift and thanks to Lynn Kapotich formerly of Atari operations for the new image.   It was among some amazing Atari employee packages and Corporate Profile materials that she was able to supply to the AHS.   Thanks Lynn!!!      The coin-op menu has been completed and now goes from 1970 - 1999.   The 1995-1999 section is not available yet.   Currently as of last night 40 additional coin-op images both in small thumbnail size for viewing, plus full sized flyers have been scanned in and right now 1970-1976 have been updated, hopefully in the next couple of days the entire coin-op section will be completed with close to 150 coin-op images, flyer's and information.

The new section: "History in the Making" is almost ready and should go up in the next couple of days and will become a regular update area for news and information on the world of Atari.
