November 05, 1998 Update

Well, just back from the California meetings with several ex-Atari employees.   All I can say is that as always it was a true eye-popping experience.    Many stories were told and recorded.   Pictures were taken, paperwork, schematics and hardware was donated and several new projects were shown for the very first time ever outside of Atari's R&D labs.

It will take several weeks to catalog the over 20 Lbs. of paperwork and schematics which were handed over and get everything sorted and cataloged, so far here is a very basic recap of just some of the major items which will be shown here on in the museum over the next several weeks:

An Atari 800 mouse which was almost packaged in with the Atari 800 when it was initially sold.
Additional information regarding the Atari 1650XLD system and Project "Sierra".
Information and data regarding Super-Pong, Stunt Cycle and "Stomper".
Actual internal documents and a petition by engineering to NOT release the Atari 5200 joysticks
Photo's of dozens of internal Atari personnel working in engineering and assembly.
New sales and promotional photo's for several CED and HCD products.
Extensive data and sketches on project "Falcon": The ATARITEL division projects
Mechanical drawings of the COSMOS Holoptic tabletop game

Ground breaking news:

Never before seen photo's and drawings of "Super-Stella", also known as "Sylvia", the Atari 3200.
Never before seen photo of a second Atari holoptic 3 player game. (Possibly codenamed: SPECTOR)
